In ABSA, we begin with the foundations: where things live, how audio and MIDI work, how to save your project, how to record or import sound, and how to make your first tiny sketch.
✴ What if music production could be technical and intuitive?
ABSA teaches the tools through a technical, intuitive, and cyclical approach to creativity. Rather than expecting the same kind of output every session, you learn to recognize when your work needs exploration, structure, expansion, refinement, or integration, while continuing to move the music forward.
My cyclical approach to creativity is informed by my certification as an Embodied Menstrual Cycle Educator through the Cyclical Living Institute, with training accredited by the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM).

ABSA gives you a guided path; one project, one track, one step at a time. Once you learn the structures and tools in Ableton, you can translate them to your other gear as they share similar concepts.

Air Bending Sound Academy
is an 8-week private music production workshop where you learn Ableton Live through your own sounds.
This is a guided creative container where we work directly with your sounds, your taste, your questions, and your project.
You will learn how to record, shape, layer, arrange, refine, and export your own piece while building a clearer relationship with Ableton and your creative process.

8 private 2-hour sessions
You will receive eight private 2-hour sessions where we work directly inside your Ableton project. This gives you time to learn the tools, ask questions, troubleshoot, make decisions, and apply each step to the music you are actually making.
A clear Ableton workflow using the tools you already have
We begin by setting up your project, organizing your files, and learning how to record or import sound into Ableton. You do not need a perfect studio to begin. We work with your laptop, Ableton, headphones, voice, instruments, samples, field recordings, MIDI controller, or whatever tools are already part of your world.
The ABSA music-making pathway
You will learn how to move from fragments into form: recording sound, shaping it into a sonic palette, building rhythm and loops, creating motifs, expanding sections, adding transitions, arranging your track, and refining the mix.
A finished export of your track
By the end of the program, the goal is to complete a pre-mastered version of your piece. We prepare the final export, organize your files, write a short artist note, and make sure your track is ready to be shared, reviewed, or brought into a future mastering stage.
A final listening experience
The program concludes with a listening session where your piece can be heard outside the private world of your headphones. You will learn how to prepare and export your music so it can leave your headphones and be heard in a shared listening environment.

This program requires weekly attendance, practice between sessions, and a willingness to make imperfect sketches. You do not need to be advanced.

FAQs
How long is ABSA?
ABSA is an 8-week private music production program. Each student receives eight private 2-hour sessions..
Is this beginner-friendly?
Yes. ABSA is designed to support beginners and self-taught music makers. We begin with Ableton foundations, recording or importing sound, saving your project, and making a first small sketch. The program can also adapt to students who already have some experience.
Do I need Ableton Live?
Yes. ABSA is taught in Ableton Live. Preferably at least Ableton Live 12 Intro, however Ableton Live Lite is enough to begin.
What is the final listening session?
At the end of the program, students gather to hear the pieces they have been developing in a group setting with the other students from the season Edition!
What happens after I apply?
Airhaert reviews your application to see if the program feels like a good fit. If chosen, there will be a virtual interview. After the interview, it feels aligned, she’ll send the next steps, tuition details, and payment options.
Will my track be mastered?
No. ABSA does not include professional mastering. The goal is to create a pre-mastered export or strong final draft that can later be sent to mastering if you choose.
What will I make during the program?
The goal is to build and export a pre-mastered track or strong final draft by the end of the 8 weeks. The result depends on your starting point, creative direction, and practice time between sessions.
What kind of music can I make?
ABSA is especially suited for electronic, experimental, ambient, vocal, electroacoustic, dance-adjacent, texture-based, and personal sound worlds. The program is less about copying a genre and more about helping you build your own piece with clarity.
Is this a group program?
No. ABSA is private 1:1. You work directly with Airhaert inside your own Ableton project. In the end, we all meet together for the listening session to hear what everyone made.
Is there homework?
Yes. Homework is part of the process. It is not meant to be perfect. The assignments are practice points that help you keep touching the tools between sessions and slowly build confidence through repetition.
How much is the 8 week Workshop?

Is ABSA only for women?
ABSA is especially created with women and sensitive creatives in mind, because music technology spaces can often feel intimidating or overly technical. The most important thing is that you are aligned with the spirit of the program: curious, respectful, creative, and willing to practice.
